Dort is the owner and founder of Silver Shoes Agency and has an extensive background in marketing and sales as a small business owner and entrepreneur. Her reputation as a leader in her community and her work as award winning insurance agent for 22+ years with American Family have provided her with deep insight and experience that she brings to every new relationship...along with her silver shoes.
Dort is also an accomplished writer, authoring and directing a play, Liberty's Task, which was performed at the Albany Days event in September of 2021 at Albany, KS. She also produced and directed a film of her play which was sold at the event.
She has authored another play which will be performed at the 2023 event by a local performance group.
Her recent work includes producing an ad for a regional political candidate which was featured online and on TV. Dort is also an accomplished fine artist, working in graphite and ink, producing artwork that reflects the Kansas landscape, pencil portrait drawings and other works on commission.

Sarah has 20+ years of experience in the retail and customer service space, the highlight of which was working as a Client Manager for American Express Merchant Services during her time at DialAmerica Marketing. Sarah has provided technology, graphic design and photography support for a variety of events,
both for non-profit and small businesses.

She is also a photographer and fine artist and has displayed her paintings at events sponsored by the Art Circle of Bloomington-Normal, IL for many years.
She obtained her bachelors in Public Relations and Mass Communication from Illinois State University.
